Replacing Fuse In Chris

Chantoir Béron

Exploring siphons network of "O ² Las"
November 21, 2009

Crew: Jean Claude London , Pascal Verken , Christophe Bandorowicz , Gregory Ziant , Mathy Muriel and Frank Bartos TPST: 9am

The descent proceeds rapidly despite the strong bulky kits at crossings hoppers.

Jack suggests that I put on my diving combi before even entering the network of "Las ² O". Indeed, the passage providing access to it is a rolling floor sediment tights that ends in a puddle of mud and putrid vile than a dozen feet long.

From this passage we all experience some difficulty breathing because of lack of oxygen. We expected and we brought with us a small bottle of oxygen if necessary.

The rest of the system is very comfortable and sediment ubiquitous form of dunes or sometimes appear a few blocks. A sluice of a few meters in this loamy smoothness leads to the river, finally, the rivulet.

We put the kits and Jack leads me to the trap upstream to have my opinion, this plate of water clear one meter in diameter seems to me very interesting ...

But the trap downstream from the tip of the tip-Ry Béron of interest. The basin seems more engaging than upstream. A shot in the clear water Scurion enlighten me on what to expect ...

what it takes I quietly under the blows of Jack Flash and the hubbub of two "Parakeets Mam'dyennes" who made the road with us:-p I turn on my lamps
, a small sign and am on my palm first.
The beginning of the mill is comfortable but the ceiling, covered wells, drops very quickly around the 40cm high. The channel width is about two meters.
The visitors had canceled completely, useless to hope to control the depth meter and pressure gauges.
Fins bother me terribly and I slow down. I feel down a lot and feel that life makes me go back to control the level of my bottles.
surface after 5 minutes of diving at -3 meters, I laugh ...

I take off my fins
and leaves. The bottom of the trap is quickly reached, it is dark and regulators are hard ... relaxation. The ceiling is lowered again.
About 5 minutes passed in this liquid mud to find the key passage. Once the constriction reached, I feel it back, the walls seem to be more vertical, I'm not in a mill. Febrile and hopeful, I expect to pass through the mirror. Unfortunately the walls and ceiling are close, it pushed through ... U-turn.
In reviewing the restriction to the low point, I feel I change direction.
21 minutes, 22m development and 3.5 m deep.

After debriefing with Yves Dubois, it would appear that this change of direction and this constriction is a passage to a stratum of international joint. It is therefore likely that the result is in line with this joint.

Since I have air, we decided to take a look at the upstream trap. Without
unequip regulators, we transport the bottles gently until then.
Holders are cold, I do not train so.

I'm leaving again without fins and feet first. So I do not see anything new, but the siphon is larger and more comfortable, contrary to appearances. The descent is gentle slope and then suddenly the ground disappears. I let myself sink carefully again to cross a squeeze and it still comes down to 2m. Is horizontal, bottom, and there was enough room to turn around and return to fresh water. I see the result going back in Inter stratum, I hesitate, but decided to turn around, anxious for my self.
This will be for the next time with bottles well inflated.
7 minutes, 20m development, 6.1 m deep freeze anything.
The material is enkitté quickly, we are all eager to return to terra firma.
The rise we will still 3.30.

Sketches exploration are intuitive and highly subjective given the zero visibility during these dives.
